The Victorian cage bustle is inspired by undergarment styles of the late 1880s to help give you that period perfect silhouette for your bustle gowns. This stuctured base layer helps support your gowns from underneath, creating the classic shelf effect at the back of the skirt.
 
It can be worn with all of our underskirts and bustles available in the Victorian section of the shop.
 
It is made from 100% cotton and features synthetic boning to give shape and structure along with upper ruffles stiffened with synthetic horsehair braid. I use white cotton as standard, but just ask about other colours if you fancy something else.
 
Simply tying round the waist, the cage bustle is lightweight and comfy to wear. It squashes when sitting, but springs back into place when standing.
 
The bustle cage is handmade to order at my Lincolnshire studio. Please note my schedule usually books around 8 weeks ahead.
